Ride for Sunday, 02 October

Took Rowan out for a ride in the bike trailer, we went down to the far end of the fire trail and back, around the pond, up to the farmer's market, across the road to the Holiday Inn and got onto the fire trail behind there that runs parallel to the highway for a while to see where it went. After climbing up a seriously steep hill (and being reduced to pushing the bike up, the slick tyres weren't getting any grip on the gravel) and riding along for a couple of km, we came to a dead end. Really not sure what the point is, but it looks like eventually it might be a route through to Sackville, which might be handy. We headed back and stopped off at the farmer's market for lunch and supplies for supper. After that we headed home as it was getting really hot and I didn't have any sunblock on me...
