More and more christmas lights are going up, which means it's a bit lighter on the residential streets. I could do without the flashing ones, though - it's not like anyone needs warning that there's a house on the sidewalk or something. Most of them look to be filament bulbs, sucking down large amounts of electricity; I've only seen a few that are definitely LED based, mostly blue ones, for some reason.
