Ride into work for Wednesday, 21 March
Windy ride in. Rode some extra streets for the map, but when I got into work found that next to nothing had been mapped. Went digging around and found a handy site that calculated the GPS satellite constellation for me; there's currently only 5 satellites in view, and 4 of them are anywhere near optimum, so the GPS was constantly losing contact with the satellites. I vaguely recall reading that the satellites were being moved around to bring a new set in service, with any luck that should happen soon...

Completely off topic...
Steve: would you care to enlighten some of us regular readers of your blog, on what kind of bikes you ride and your opinion of them? Thanks!
On a personal note, I commute 12 km a day (on nicer days anyway) here in Halifax, since last October. Am looking into replacing the 15 yr old mtb with something better... and all this started because of your blog... thanks Steve!
