Ride for Saturday, 22 October

Went out to try Geocaching with Rowan. We didn't manage to find anything (both the caches we were looking for were off in the woods, unreachable by bike trailer) but we certainly had fun. We had quite a route, which (without showing all the doubling back) looked something like this:

Time: 50:35
Average speed: 12.1km/hr
Temperature: 6C-9C, sunny
Cumulative distance: 5849.063km

My Dad and I did this a couple years ago, finding a little film canister hidden under an old corner stone of long-ago knocked down Mason's temple. We added our names to a little scroll.

Geocaching is great times... There must be some good urban ones Rowen could get to, though I suppose the filp side is that you would hardly be inconspicous in the middle of the afternoon as a pair of cyclists poking around. In the urban, I think you are supposed to disguise yourselfs as goths or camera-toting tourists.v
