Called the HRM police number and talked to someone who didn't give their name and asked about the incident I reported yesterday. I was told, "the plate number you gave doesn't match the number in the database, so unless you give us the right number there's nothing we can do." I asked which of the numbers I gave they checked, and the answer was "all of them" - I figured I was being given the brushoff, so I gave up on it at that point. Oh well...
