Ride into work for Monday, 19 December

Managed to fall off my bike on the fire trail before I even got a kilometre away from home - the trail was solid ice, and the ruts from Bobcats and foot traffic made me bounce around and ended up slipping. I deflated the front tyre a bit more and that seemed to do the trick for the rest of the ride. There's supposed to be flurries this afternoon so hopefully that will lead to a bit more traction. The fact it's close enough to freezing that the ice is easily melting under pressure isn't helping at all.

The roads otherwise were pretty clear - we had a bit of a thaw over the weekend that mixed with the salt on the roads and seems to have cleared the majority of the compacted ice off.
