Ride home for Tuesday, 07 February

Windy ride home today. The high cadence spinning also seems to have tired my legs out a bit, although it's certainly helped my knee - I've had next to no twinges at all from it. As a result, I had real difficulty getting up to speed, and keeping speed once I was there.

The erosion on the fire trail from the heavy rain we had a few days ago attracted the attention of the council; they've responded by putting barriers across the fire trail, but thoughtfully the barriers are just wide enough for a person (or a person on a bike) to squeeze past on one side. With any luck it'll get filled in before we get too much snow.

It looks like it might be around -7 or so tomorrow morning, so it should be a fairly pleasant ride in.
