Ride into work for Thursday, 02 February

No ride in yesterday as we had a blizzard hit and it was too windy.

Had a Dr's appointment today, so I rode in via Bedford. The roads were still a bit on the messy side from the snow storm yesterday, although the amount of salt was incredible - the front of my bike is encrusted with salt crystals!

Muppet of the day award goes to the pedestrians gormlessly wandering around the streets looking to get hit. First one was a pedestrian who leaped out into the road without looking, I managed to haul on my brake and skid around him while shouting at him to look out. Second was a pedestrian who ran across the road and looked bemused to see a bus parked where he wanted to get onto the sidewalk, he then looked at me, ducked to his left, span around, then ran back across the street to where he came from. This was a student at Dalhousie, so nominally he should have been at least somewhat intelligent. However, since common sense isn't, I guess intelligence and common sense have no real relation.
